I picked up the car in Munich this week and dropped it off today. All I have to remember her until mid January is a key with my name engraved, a silly red warning triangle, and a first aid kit that got soaked in beer. Yeah, I thought brining beer home in the suit case might not work. It didn't. I dropped her off with about 260km. I didn't do a whole lot of driving but it was still worth doing ED.
I did notice two issues though. I had a wrinkle in the leather on the driver seat when I picked it up. I'm not sure what they're going to do about that. And the heads up display would show a large white box or a bunch of digital distortion when using the GPS on some turn types. It seemed to only happen on freeway merges. I'll have to investigate that when I get the car back.
When I dropped it off this morning they did ask if I wanted to keep the plates. I guess they're are no guarantees but they make it seem like I would get them. We'll see.
