The iDrive outputs 4 channels and there are 6 speakers in the Stereo system. At least 2 speakers must be connected in parallel - or so BMW and the
4-wires at the woofer connector say.
The woofer
low pass effect -regardless of Fader- is done at the
iDrive outputs. In other words, what you are fading is the
high pass.
