You're correct that ct requires front and rear plates but the state is lax on the law. I had a euro plate on my last car and I was never ticketed for it. I was even pulled over for speeding and the cop let me off with a warning and commented on my car and the European plate.
My wife thinks the plates are cheesy but for $60 I think its one of the coolest aesthetic things that can be done to a European car
