1. interior on the e-class just felt cheap, crap and plasticky - very very rubbish materials, and this was an 'AMG-line'

3. yes, i think the e-class looks slightly nicer - strangely, it felt like driving a smaller car given its long wheelbase and overall size - the 5er in comparison feels like your aiming a barge down a road hitting the go pedal!
