I haven't updated the lights in my 5 yet. I did change the lights in my Land Rover. However, I chose to leave the map lights and footwell lights as is...for better night vision. I changed the front, middle and cargo dome lights as well as the puddle lights, to LED. The set up works pretty well and I am not blinded when driving at night and my wife uses the map light.
I'll definitely go ahead and swap out the puddle lights on my 5 to LED.

I replaced both my puddle lights and most importantly the interior trunk lights with LEDs. The standard interior trunk lights were a complete joke, a candle would have been more appropriate. The LED's do a great job of lighting up the interior of the trunk. I left the dome lights and map lights standard since I don't like the stark, cold light that LEDs give off in the interior of the car.
