This my first HW retrofit coding and need some guidance on how to go about it.

I just installed E-sys and confirmed that it's working. I was gonna use Bimmercode (expert mode) but it's not able to read the new NBT Evo HU I just installed (common issue with retrofitted Evos). I'm watching videos non-stop about how to use E-sys and getting the basics of it (esp. the dos and do nots).

What I need is more step by step help for how to go about my first attempt for coding the new iDrive controller. It works when I plugged it in, but the button mapping is off. What values do I need to change?
