Not gonna lie when I first bought my car I told myself I wasn’t gonna beat it up or modify it as it is already fairly quick to my liking as well as a beautiful car, but then I read a thread by I believe bmw techs that have said that babying these cars are no good for them and that they should be pushed a bit to reduce carbon. Hence why city cars are in worse condition due to more traffic therefore leaving no room to be able to push our bimmers. One of my friends f30 335 has been beaten on a daily basis and he’s had no issues fully modified, 100k miles now by the way.
In my personal experience with the 535i, ever since I have went full bolt on, stage 2+ motor and stage 2 transmission tune, at 117k miles, the car feels great. I definitely limit to how much I redline but I definitely push full boost time to time from each day. Ive personally done a lot of maintenance from previous owner neglect but now that I am caught up, car feels great despite my driving habits. Don’t be scared to push these cars as they were built to be driven on the autobahn in Germany. They’re meant to be pushed full power with no complications and if you do run into issues after driving hard, you’re car has been needing maintenance to be done for a while already. So in conclusion, do your maintenance, and punch that gas.
