I disagree. the Z4 is very much a classic sports car, long nose short deck convertible. I love the sweep line that goes from the headlights arching over the front fender down to the rear of the door, then back up and over the rear wheel. That's a classic fender line from cars like the Jag XK120, MGA, TR3, and more, including BMW's own pre-war 328 Mille Miglia. The ONLY thing I'd change in the design of the Z4 is the crease on the front fender that follows the windshield post, and the rear spoiler needs to go evenly across the rear of the car, not just in the center of the trunklid.
