You need an appointment to drop off the car in most places, and you can get a list of them on the BMWUSA website. Some you can arrange by e-mail, some by phone (or I suppose you could stop by first if you were going to be there a couple of days). On some, the hours are restricted (and often, only weekdays), so that could affect your plans. But there are probably close to a dozen cities around Europe where you can drop off the car for return to the USA. Note also, and this may change, if you are interested in it, you can have the car delivered to South Carolina at the factory there. They'll pay for a night at the hotel, and give you a day's training at the track on a similar vehicle - all for free, rather than having the vehicle redelivered to the selling dealer.
