My understanding is a buyback would clearly show in BMW service records. That is not the case, although it was in for 3 service visits within the first 5000 miles. If they don't offer a buyback, I assume they would need to continue trying to fix the car. I guess I'll just keep driving the loaner for the next 3.5 years if needed.
