Yes when the car is in drive, with the foot on the brake, there is the occassional splutter felt through the seat. Sometimes this manifests into a gentle shaking.
Prior to BMW finding sediment in the gearbox, and replacing it, the car would shake much more noticeably on idle and in gear. The shake sensation goes in sport mode, neutral or reverse
The engine mounts were changed, so was the gearbox. I only wanted BMW to tell me if this was normal or not, yet they are unable to say that at this stage. None of the forum posts I did suggests that this is normal so I am working through the fault to see if it is normal or not.
Now the problem is much better, and only a very slight shudder is noticeable from the drivers seat. When it was at its worst the whole car and passengers would move as would water be displaced in a container or light paper might move on the dash.
When I picked up the car I thought it was characteristic of a 3 ltr and so did nothing.
