Word - having driven the 535i I would never even consider trading my car in for 535iA.
I also know for a fact that the 535d is faster (although not by much), already tested it with a buddy of mine who just got a 535iA. Last week I also beat a 335i convertible in a straight line race with performance exhaust.
A 550i depreciates too quickly because most people will either buy an M5 or 535i. The ''in between'' 550i is very rare and not popular at all.
