I am very into the choice side because if you take Ireland & it's VRT, some non sense crap tax on top of the VAT, my 520d m sport cost was: 40k + 8500 euro vat + 8400 vrt a total of 59000 euro for 520d, some 17k tax, , this is with the lowest vrt possible for a BMW, a 530 will cost a fortune, road tax for the 520 is 150Euro but for any straight six you looking into over 600 euro a year.
so thank god for the 520d when down to Ireland and the stupid vrt tax.
