I think 240 hp is simply way underpowered for a 4000 pound sedan. The e60 was much lighter and I would say the 255hp was JUST enough for it to be fun to drive so I agree with the raw power arguement. However sound has nothing to do with power. Some huge engines sound like crap and some smaller ones sound amazing so you cannot go by size or output of engine to judge sound.

I6 are sure smooth pleasure to drive, but new I4 turbo with 240 HP has more torque at low rpm to over come the extra weight of F10, so it should perform well. 0 to 60 of 6.3 seconds in F10 according to inside line.
