I'm sorry but you people are dreaming -- it didn't even sell 900 -- it sold 450 models.
To give you an idea, more super-exotics were sold in the US last year than 5 Series wagons. And most of them were sold where I live the SF Bay area.
American's hate wagons and they don't look to BMW to provide them. BMW is a different brand in the US than it is in Europe. Here it is a sporting brand - there it is just a car.
So just because the tinniest fraction of you want a low margin vehicle they should deliver it? Vs a higher margin 5GT that is more attuned to American desires?
