I can speak for all 520d owners here and assure you that :
(i) We are interested in having fun. Personally speaking, you could ask my kids, my girlfriend, my friends and my work colleagues. I'm fairly confident that they would quash your theory that I don't like to have fun. Naturally the context of fun to be had, is different in it's core nature, social acceptability, location, position (ha ha, I said position) and time of day. To deny the variance of fun, would make me both weird and probably heading for a long stretch at her majesty's pleasure. But in short, I'd like to re-iterate: 520d owners like to have fun.
(ii) In regard to "unwanted attention" - yes it happens, from time to time, but generally speaking, I don't mind people admiring my car. So long as they are not burglars. I think burglars are exclusive to theft from houses, so it's probably car thieves that I really don't want attention from.
