Took the car to the dealership yesterday (BMW of Schereville) and they diagnosed two injector failures and two associated fouled plugs. Must say, I am a bit skeptical in view of the fact this is not a "Transmission Failure" IMHO. However, on the way to the dealership I did get a CEL warning in addition to the transmission failure warning. I collect the repaired car latter today, we shall see.
