I think what he meant was that the front end is low, sleek yet the rear end is quite high and from the mid-section onwards the car is much more muscular and bigger in size. Also, there is a big difference between front/rear overhang.

I actually think the 5 series is much like the old E39 which is perfect and the only thing I would change is the hood detailing that BMW is adding down the middle of the hood. It just looks fussy to me. Apart from that, perfect car.
