My brief Pre Purchase Inspection conducted at my BMW dealership indicates that my battery is "marginal" and probably should be replaced. No problem. But I would prefer to replace it myself. I removed the cover that I presumed contained the interior cabin air filter. No battery. I wonder if it might be underneath my spare tire in the trunk. Of course the BMW glovebox gives no clue as to where the battery is hidden.
