Manually set the trunk lid on the place you want to open and hold it there. Then press and hold the close button (in idle mode it should be backlit orange) and wait until it flashes (about 5 seconds).
Now just need to hear back on why it closes after opening again!

Does your trunk lid open all the way? I'm in the process in installing this but ran into an issue with the motored spring.
