Funny to see how we keep mixing MPG and l./100 km in this thread.
I honestly have no feeling for the MPG averages and I suspect the same is true for most Americans/Canadians/Brits etc. when they see the l./100 km averages (frequently used in continental Europe). To make things even more complicated, in some countries, Holland for example, the standard is x km per 1 liter.
