Depends what is your primary goal with the car. If you just want to keep ride comfort nearly the same then i would just go ACS. If you want the car to really handle like a sports car (as much as it can) then maybe upgrading the shocks is an option. Don't do it just because you are afraid the shocks will blow out. ACS's drop is so minor and they know what they are doing.
