While its a pain in the ass to have to do it yourself, if you would rather "fix" the problem instead of jump through hoops, these tools are usually able to be rented from auto parts stores like Oreillys and Autozone for free plus a deposit

Ive used them in a pinch and with an impact, they work well... that being said, Stainless is VERY hard to stretch so you may have to work at it a bit (factory stainless is typically very strong). At most it will take you 5 min and you can at least get a solid slip fit with it.
