I am currently driving a F10, Jun 2010, 528I (sport gearbox). I took it for maintenance and got a 520I 2012 (sport gearbox) model as courtesy car.
The 4 cylinders 520I is very disappointed and sounds like a diesel taxi cab when it is idle.
Initial acceleration is fine but not in a mid-range i.e. 60 to 120km/h... engine is lazy and even rev to 5000rpm...
No way to compare with my current 528I which delivers relentless acceleration.
Not sure about the 4 cylinders 528I sounds like.
