Your rebel XS is an excellent camera under most "normal" conditions. I have a Rebel XTi that I shot with for about 6 years before upgrading to the 6D as a preorder back in December 2012.

This is one of my favorite best shots with the XTi and my EF-S 10-22 (which I highly recommend to the point of saying I regret selling it)

It's all in the photographer.

The 6D has opened up new avenues of photography for me, such as shooting at a high shutter speed at night, catching things which would be blurred with a long exposure needed on the XTi but not needed with the high ISO capability of the 6D. But until I knew that world, the XTi was and still is an awesome camera.

The crazy world of long lenses and 5DIII's and 1DX's is another whole new avenue. Until you (and I) get there, I think it's good to enjoy what we have and shoot accordingly. I've really enjoyed your contributions in the snapshot thread, keep it up!

Yeah I understand what you mean. My Tamron VC Telephoto takes amazing pictures with good lighting. I am still struggling in low light scenarios, but I think I really need to get at least a small tripod rather than using fixed objects to hold the camera steady.

I'm going to look into that 10-22, that picture is absolutely stunning. Thanks, I still think I am very much an amateur though, lol.

You're shots are very captivating and I love the clarity. I am trying to get back out and shoot more. I agree, to enjoy it is the core, and it definitely helps take my mind off the every days stresses.
