2010 2011 BMW 5 Series Forum F10 - View Single Post - 528i N20 custom dual exhaust and AFE air filter (using any stock/aftermarket exhaust)

From previous experience on the e90, i also installed the AFE PRO-DRY S drop-in air filter in my F10 N20. Initial observation is better "intake" ssshhhh sound and throttle response.

1. I recommend using the dry over oiled air filter to avoid oil contaminants on the MAF

2. Using 15mm, remove bolt(s) from LH strut

3. Unclip fasters x3 and remove dirty stock air filter

4. Compare stock vs aftermarket filters, verify size and fitment

5. Vacuum and clean air box

6. Do the reverse for reinstallation of hardware
