I wasn't having any problems before the CCP, and have had none since. I certainly didn't notice any decrease in power in the car, and I think that is something I would have picked up on (that's why you have this car in the first place, right?).
I'd stay on it with your dealer or BMW. Maybe the tech did something wrong. Who knows.
I did decide to purchase an extended warranty on this vehicle a few months ago when my original warranty expired. I've never done this before, but the whole CCP thing made me uneasy. I intend to keep the car for some time, so it seemed prudent. Hope it wasn't.
