Not in all cases....... There is no clear statement to that effect. What most people confused that with is what Insurance calls UNSAFE OPERATION of the vehicle. For example, if you are on the way home from office in your car when the typhoon signals are hoisted, then you will be covered. Or you are on the way moving the car from unprotected area to a covered parking, you will be covered.
On the other hand, you driving the car out to check out the storm weather is not considered safe operation of the vehicle and will NOT be covered.......
But when car is stationary parked in covered area, even if the car suffers water damage or other physical damage, insurance will cover.....
