Actually I was arguing in favor of all of the above. I know it might be difficult for some to fathom, but yes I would park an F10 BMW right next to a new five-oh Stang and a boring Japanese blandmobile, and enjoy and use each of them for completely different reasons and purposes. No matter what, you can never "have it all" in one car so I don't try to. My point is if you don't think there's any point to a $50k BMW that isn't "fast" then you probably don't have any appreciation for the classic BMW traits. Everybody is too obsessed with horsepower these days. Does every single car you own need to be running 13's in the 1/4 mile? No.
