OP, you should contact BMWNA and let them get involved with your issues.

I contacted them right when I got the Drivetrain Malfunction light and advised them I just fell out of warranty and was not happy with the situation. They advised me to bring it to a BMW dealer to get diagnosed and they will work with me in regards to a possible resolution.

My car died on the freeway on Tuesday. The car was towed to the dealer who looked at the car and found out the bolts holding the vanos broke and that cause the vanos to break. The master tech contacted BMWNA directly and my car is being repaired at no cost to me.

To me it sounds like BMW Nashville is giving you the run around. I would contact BMWNA and ask them to pay for your car payments while it's in the shop as well.
