What kind of tablet are you using? It took me having to uninstall every Bluetooth device that I had on my Samsung before I could pair it with the ELM. But afterwards, it picks it up right away. Maybe try doing that...
Edit...there are also a couple of things that I had to change in the Settings on the Torque. The tablet is at the office but I will let you know what those were, tomorrow.
