This is just personal opinion of course, I know lots of luxury and exotic cars these days come with alacantara. I'd take (even lower quality) leather on my steering wheels and seats over alacantara in a heartbeat. For looks, ease of maintenance and long term durability.

i thought of the alcantara just to break up the texture and look of the wheel. about 90% with black preforated around the wheel, black leather for the flat bottom and middle piece and tri stitching like you guys recommend. any other ideas?
