I am not too concerned about the current 'apparent' low residuals.
The finance agreement I have is very acceptable.
As has been said - there aren't that many 5 series GT's out there, and they do attract attention, once more are out there I think that the luxury and versatility of the GT will catch people's interest and it will become more popular.
I do think the original release with the 530d and had too high a price for buyers to choose against the F10/11 or the 7 series. Now with the 520d at an attractive price compared to them.....it is a much more attractive proposition.
The E60 took a lot of initial criticism years ago with what critics described as a clunky rear end ....sound familiar??
Only time will tell I guess.
