After about 2400 miles, one 800-mile day on the road, and a week or so of short in-town trips while at my destination, I just got back and averaged 28.1mpg (US) on the trip. When strictly highway, it was over 30-mpg. I'm pleased, but would have been more pleased with the 530d verses the 535i. The rear-wheel drive would have been better than my x-drive, but it is far better than my old Infiniti M35x, and I arrived feeling much fresher! The active seats do help on a long trip, and I'm glad I chose that option.
