This kinda scared me, it almost they are going to completely scrap 1series being RWD but to switch to FWD.
I recently read in BMW Magazine that 80 % of 1-series drivers don't know their car is rear-wheel driven. Anyway, the next generation of the 1-series is still rear-wheel drive. BMW has annonunced that they will design an even smaller city car under the BMW label and this car will be front-wheel drive and potentially share technology with MINI.
