Nope, I didnt have to modify the tips at all.
In fact, if I didnt go with with diffuser, and I kept the original set up, there would have been a huge gap with the new tips.
It sounds good, but it is not nearly as loud as my M3 was. It has a nice deep tone. No drone at all.
