From a profits and market share perspective, Bangle's designs were successes. BMW's popularity and sales figures grew to amazing new heights under him. I think the, "Don't know what you've got 'til it's gone" mentality is hitting a lot of people. Just because there is no radical aspect of any of the new designs. They are like the BMW mock up of Audi. Very subdued and very tame.
Although, I don't miss dreading trying to figure out which part of the cars looks Bangle was going to turn into an oddity. In particular, I'd like the e60 alot better if I didn't think the headlight looked like they had eyelashes.
