We're talking about BRIGHT SUNLIGHT as I'm driving towards or away from the sunlight.
The challenge is that you can't set (or reset) the sensitivity.
I *believe* something is "tricking" the system, which was the root of my question. "WHERE IS THE SENSOR"?
