I'm also not really surprised by these numbers. Although there's some economic factors in play here, the initial "yipee" of a new 5 series wore off... I also love when BMW compares sales figures between 2 different models:

But this early comparing of sales in a particular month compared to previous year's sales as done in some forums is all crap to me. Wait for a year or 2, maybe 3 when all the models are in production and there is time to check the market, then compare, and even then there is also the economy to take into account. Go test drive it, buy something else if you don't like it. Buy it if you like it. So what if sales are up and you dislike the F10. You drive a 2008 550i and have plenty of time to check the market.
