Dynamic Stability Control Malfunction

Hey all, I wanted to let you know of a recent experience I had with my 2011 550i. My wife was driving and a warning light came on stating there was a malfunction in the Dynamic Stability Control and there was a possible oil leak. This light came on few more times, and we took the car in to BMW.

After inspecting the car, the service advisor stated the Pressure Hose/Expansion Hose for Dynamic Drive in the steering column failed and oil was apparently all over the place. The parts had to be shipped in, so the car was in the shop for a week.

Part numbers ordered were:
32-41-6-785-004 Expansion Hose Dynamic Drive:324036
32-41-6-788-696 O-Ring: 329999
83-29-0-429-576 Hydraulic Fuild CHF 11

Also, if you haven't heard already, there was a recall on the N63 engine for the auxilliary water pump.

I tried searching the forum to see if anyone else had experienced this issue, but it looks like most people who had a Dynamic Drive malfunction had a grinding noise in their transmission or heard a loud thud. I didn't experience any of these issues, but leaking oil is definitely not a good thing! Hope this information helps, and if any one else has had this issue, it'd be nice to hear about it as well.
