I have a 2011 535 and it's working fine. I got an error initially when using the password I gave the BMW Assist people; it looks like after a week it still did not take. I then tried using the password listed on the vehicle recovery certificate my dealer gave me and it worked. The password was my first name, all lower caps, if that helps.
