Works for me - Spotify, Amazon Music
1) Install the BMW connected app on your phone app(but I think it may work without this).
2) Plug phone in via a usb wire.
3) Navigate to external devices in the idrive (via media).
4) (IMPORTANT BIT) Open the app on your phone.
5) The iphone screen will change to a spotify icon with a BMW icon below it.
6) And the spotify option will appear on your idrive menu(may take 10 secs) , select it.
and off you go....
