I do have the AFE intake. I chose it over the BMS intake because I have never loved the idea of oiling a filter.
Anyway, I had the same issue with reinstalling the stock intake. I used a heat gun to expand the car's stock hose so that it fit back onto the stock intake correctly. I didn't think that was too big of a deal.
