Well, it's not as bad as you think, depending on how you drive. I averaged about 18.5 mpg combined hwy/city with the 545, and now about 22 with the 535, not that big of a difference. We all worked our ways up to the 5 series cars, I started with a two year old E46 325 with 25K miles that was awesome, then the E60 545, and now the F10 535, but I make over $150K year now. Have fun with the 545 now, drive sensible and your gas costs will not too bad.
