I agree with the other guy in the thread.
Why are people flamming him when he's speaking the truth? Trucks are a fad most people don't use them to their full potential. People buy them because they feel safer, bling factor etc.Unless you're a farmer, construction guy or uses that car to work they were meant to be support vehicle. Went I went to the car show last year there was a 67K+tax F150 Limited......
Back in the days when I was a kid most parents used to drive their kids in either a Tempo,Citation,Escort,Chevette,Aries,Omni nothing huge. Now people uses the ohh I have a kid excuse and I need something huge to carry a stroller and crap...I call BS . When I was a kid my dad had a Tercel and then a upgraded to a Corolla. The US in not like any other part of the world: cheap gas+ cars are cheap + low taxation. I agree most trucks are useless.
I was looking to buy a truck for track days and carry stuff around the house. I came to the conclusion that it was useless and was a waste of gas : I'll either keep on renting or buying a 5K truck(or Cargo van) slap it in the driveway and use it once in a while. 99% of the time I'm by myself in my cars. I'll have a 5er touring over an x5 anyday of the week. I'm no tree hugger but at 6$ a gallon over here........Sure I find the 1500 Ram sport gorgeous, F150 looks great, Tundra's with black wheels looks dopes so does a jacked up Silverado but I'll pass.
It's a free world, free country people can get trucks if they want, some people can say that buying trucks makes no sense.
