I had a G35 Coupe (alongside my E46) back in the day. While the G35 had more horsepower, I have to say... the thing was a piece of junk. The interior had more plastic than Joan River's face, and after only 2 years and 20k miles, I couldn't stand it any longer and got rid of it. It had a nice exhaust note, and the exterior styling was nice... but that was about it.

My G35 was a 2005 alongside my 2001 325i. I kept the 325i when I sent the G35 packing, and then moved on to the 335i without ever looking back at another Japanese car. Admittedly, I tried shopping around - the Lexus is350, for one - when I got the 335i, but it gave me the creeps... reminding me of why I dislike rebranded Nissans, Hondas, and Toyotas.

The F10 is SO far superior to a G37 (sedan or coupe) that you can't honestly compare the two. The G37 is intended to be a competitor for the 3-series, and it falls down terribly in both style and performance there. The accelerator feels as if it's planted in a bowl of oatmeal. The Infiniti M is intended to be the real competitor here to the F10 and it comes closer... but I think it's still butt-ugly and lacks any semblance of German refinement, fit-and-finish, and overall luxury.

There's a reason why BMWs are selling like hotcakes and the F10 is the best-selling 5 series in history.
