I contacted my local dealer (Northern Virginia). I asked if they heard about this problem and the "fix". No, it was road crowning.
. They asked for my VIN, and they did a search of factory prescribed fixes and the software upgrade mentioned elsewhere in this post did not come up as being available for my 535i. They knew nothing of the software fix or the 10 mm adjustment.
