That 3M tint (referenced earlier in this thread) does reduce glare. Depending on where you live, the darker tints are illegal. This one blocks pretty much all UV, and a significant amount of IR. The darker ones block more IR. I chose a tint that was legal in all states since I didn't want to get hassled, and it has been fine. The newer technology doesn't need to be dark to provide the benefits of 'lesser' products. It also comes with a lifetime warranty from 3M in the car.
