Quick update, the combox apparently does need replacing, but it's on 10 working day back order from Germany. So I have my car back for now and will take it back in when they have the parts.
I must say, this dealer is the nicest dealer I've ever had to deal with, (I'm a fleet manager so I deal with a lot!) they always seen to have the attitude that whatever I need, it's no problem at all!
