I find this feature very annoying. I remember the first time I tried to pull the car up on ramps to change the oil I had the door open and it kept going in park. I must have tried like 10 times thinking wtf is wrong with this car before I realized it was a "feature". |
On some software versions, you can open the door and move the car in reverse so long as your seatbelt is locked.
The second you take off your seatbelt, the car will pop into park.
